1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SettleTab ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

SettleTab is a mobile application that helps users track and split shared expenses within groups. The App provides tools to record expenses, calculate balances, and facilitate settlements between group members.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
• One person may not maintain more than one account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
• Upload malicious content or interfere with the App's operation.
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Create fake accounts or misrepresent your identity.
• Use the App for money laundering or fraudulent financial activities.

5. Expense Data & Settlements

SettleTab is a record-keeping tool. Please note:

• The App records expenses and calculates balances based on information entered by users. We do not verify the accuracy of this information.
• Settlement suggestions (via UPI, PayPal, etc.) are informational links. SettleTab does not process payments directly and is not responsible for any payment transactions between users.
• You are solely responsible for resolving any disputes about expenses or debts with other group members.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by SettleTab and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• Balance calculations are always accurate (they depend on user input).
• Data will never be lost (though we take reasonable precautions).

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SettleTab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, financial loss from incorrect balance calculations, or damages arising from payment transactions between users.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting our support team.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
